I am a senior in college and just now figuring out my school plans.
Upon arriving at Hope College I was registered to pursue a major in Mechanical Biomedical Engineering. Then it was Physical Therapy. Next, I was an officially declared double major in Psychology and Spanish. Spanish gets changed to a minor with my Psychology major. Add to that a minor in English.
Now entering my supposed final year of college and I’m rethinking everything. After much considering, consulting, and prayer, I am about to declare a double Psychology and English majors (keeping my Spanish minor). Originally I was going to grad school for Psychology right after graduation from Hope. Now, I really don’t want to go to grad school…at least not right away. I want a chance to live my life and be young. I no longer want to be tied down to something - school, school, work, and school. I want to be a part of this world (reference to The Little Mermaid not intentional).
So now, I will be needing an extra semester to complete my studies. Goodbye to all my money! But in the end, it’s going to be so worth it!
